Terms, refunds and privacy

Plain English, short. If anything here is unclear, ask me before you pay.

1. Who I am

I'm Heng Yu Le, an individual in Singapore and a student at Nanyang Polytechnic. I build websites under my own name. This service isn't run by or for Nanyang Polytechnic. Contact: WhatsApp, using the button on this page.

2. What you get

• Standard: a one-page website for your business, based on the preview you saw and the content you approve, with one moving detail from your trade, your menu or price list and an "Order on WhatsApp" button that opens WhatsApp with a message already written, in English or in English and Chinese. It has no shopping cart.
• Premium: everything in Standard, plus a signature opening and page-change transitions, up to 3 pages (or one long page), an order builder with a "help me choose" guide that writes the customer's order into the WhatsApp message, 30 days of small fixes after launch, a Google Business Profile setup session with you, your own photos colour-corrected and cropped, and a short video of your site for social media.
• Standard: your finished site within 5 days of receiving your photos and details, with 2 rounds of changes. Premium: ready for review about 10 working days after receiving your photos and details, with 3 rounds of changes. If I need to ask you something first, the days start when you answer. A completely different site counts as a new order.
• After launch: 2 small changes in your first 12 months (for example a new price, photo or opening hours), each done within 2 working days of your message. More changes after that: S$30 per small change, done within 2 working days, or S$79 a month for up to 4 changes, each done within 1 working day, with a monthly check that the site is up and quick (unused changes carry over one month). A small change is a photo you send, prices, hours or a few lines; bigger work is quoted as its own job.

3. Price and payment

Standard: S$399 one time. My first 3 clients pay S$199, only if they agree in writing that I may show their site as an example. Premium: S$799 one time for my first 3 Premium clients, then S$999. The domain is extra. You pay by PayNow, against an invoice from me, only after you've approved the finished site. Then I put it live. No GST is charged.

4. Hosting, domains and ownership

• Your site goes in your own free Cloudflare account. You sign up and add me as a member, so I can set it up. You own the account.
• The domain is extra: you buy it from a domain seller, in your own name, and I connect it. Until then, your site uses a free web address.
• Care plan (optional, from month 13): S$120 a year for a monthly check and 2 small changes. Without it, your site keeps running in your own account.
• Once paid, you own your content and the site files (see section 5). You can ask for the files at any time.
• I show your site as an example only if you agree in writing.

5. Before you pay

• Before you pay, I show you your site as screenshots and a short screen recording. I don't send the files or a working link until you've paid.
• If you say no to your preview, I delete it within 7 days and never publish it.
• Until you pay, the design, the text I wrote and the code stay mine, and can't be copied or used.
• Once you pay, you own your content and the site files.

6. Refunds

• You pay only after you've seen and approved your finished site. If you don't approve it after the 2 rounds of changes, you pay nothing, and I don't publish it.
• After you pay: if your site isn't live on a free web address within 2 days of payment, or it has a fault I can't fix within 7 days of you telling me, you get a full refund.
• Once you've approved and paid, there are no refunds for a change of mind. Refunds go back by PayNow.

7. What I don't promise

I don't promise Google rankings, visitors or sales. A new site can take days to weeks to appear on Google, and no one can guarantee where it shows.

8. Referrals

If you send me a client who pays for a site, I give you S$50 cash for each one.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, my total liability for any claim about your order is limited to the amount you paid.

10. Privacy

• What I collect: what you send me for your site (business details, photos, text) and your contact details. This website has no forms, does not set cookies and has no advertising trackers. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits (the pages viewed, the site that sent you, and your browser, device type and country). Cloudflare says this uses no cookies and doesn't track individual visitors.
• Why: to build and support your site, and to send invoices.
• Where it goes: my own devices, WhatsApp, email, and the software services I use to build sites, some of which are run outside Singapore. Your published site goes in your Cloudflare account and is public, because it's your website.
• How long: I delete your working files within 90 days after your site is finished, except what's on your live site and the records I must keep for tax. If you say no to a preview, I delete it within 7 days.
• Your rights: ask me on WhatsApp to see, correct or delete your information. I'm the person responsible for data protection.
